Blokoto Pre3 - The Gameplay Update

Blokoto Pre3 is here, and it’s our biggest update yet! This update brings online multiplayer, custom blocks in the workshop, a complete website redesign, and more. Let's move that gear up as we go through everything new in Blokoto!

Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to the latest Blokoto Pre-Alpha update. Get yourselves comfortable in your chair, and let's begin with these patch notes.

Did you notice something different? Yes, the website got a haircut. Yeah, I know—it looks very different from the last version, doesn't it? I spent the last week or so implementing the designs I worked on with JooJ a while back. It is much more modern and aesthetic now and supports both light and dark modes. Please report any consistency issues that I might have missed if you find one.

Blokoto is a platform that encompasses a lot. This update includes changes to the website, the launcher, and the game, so you will probably need to use the installer again to fix installation issues.

Website Changes

We've given our website a new overlay of aesthetical paint. It takes inspiration from Windows Vista and 7 concept arts and the golden age web design. Almost every page has been remade to enhance your experience on both mobile and desktop devices. Our site now adapts seamlessly to mobile devices and has a very smooth experience overall. We've also revamped the sidebar and navbar, making it easier to find your way around.

The website now support both light and dark themes, and will apply however is set in your system dark theme preferences.

The workshop and create/inventory sections have undergone significant improvements, and we got some additional enhancements, such as refined tags, an updated game page, and a refreshed news page, all aimed at providing a more cohesive and enjoyable browsing experience on Blokoto.

Structural Changes

You can now register without an access key. You can still purchase a redeemable key that should be used at https://blokoto.com/giftcode one time per account. It will give you the founder's badge and some blokoins.

Game Changes

You can now play games with other players online! Call in your friends, explore the early worlds together, and experience Blokoto games for the first time.

🧰 Superblocks & Custom Blocks

Blocks now have behaviors, making them more powerful and interactive! Plus, you can now save and even sell your custom blocks in the workshop.

Other changes

• A new settings button
• Publishing games is now possible
