Pre-Alpha 0.2.0 - Release Candidate 1

Blokoto Pre-Alpha Update 0.2.0 RC1 has just dropped! This update introduces The Workshop, giving you the power to showcase your creations to the Blokoto community. But that’s not all! We’ve also added the ability to tweak your environment and prototype gameplay mechanics directly in edit mode. Let's dive in!

A brand-new feature that lets you share, discover, and manage models in exciting new ways.

New Features

• Like and Dislike Models: Show some love (or constructive disapproval) to your favorite models!
• Upload Models: Seamlessly share your creations with the community.
• Add Tags: Help others discover your work with descriptive tags.
• Advanced Search: Find exactly what you’re looking for with precision search options.

🧳 Inventory

Save your creations and share them between worlds.

New Features

• In-Game and Website Access: View and manage your inventory wherever you are.

🌌 Environment Editing

The world is your canvas – paint the skies and waters to your heart’s content.

New Tools

• Edit Water: Tweak colors and height to set the perfect mood.
• Edit Sky: Change the sky colors to anything that you want.

🚶 Prototyping

Test gameplay mechanics without leaving edit mode.

New Feature

• Character Controller in Edit Mode: Experience your creations in action by jumping straight into the role of a character while building. Just press P to enter it.

The Fill tool was removed from this update because of its buggy nature. I will improve the advanced tools and reintroduce them in the future.

With these updates, we’re taking the next step toward making Blokoto the ultimate sandbox for creators. Hopefully I'll manage to make the play mode very early on 2025 :D
